Free Trade Zone planned near BIAP in 2007

The head of the Iraqi and American Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ra'ad Omar, said that contracts worth $97 million were signed by foreign companies to rebuild the Kurdistan region. More than 370 Iraqi, Arab and foreign companies participated in the Sulimaniya fair, which witnessed great success according to Omar. He added that there is a plan to establish a fair and free trade zone near Baghdad International Airport (BIAP) next year.
