Contracts
(PortAl Iraq) - Versar, Inc. announced today that the U.S. Air Force awarded Versar a $2.3 million Task Order to inspect and provide corrective plans for a large number of border forts in Iraq. This award expands Versar's existing construction management and quality assurance work for the Air Force in Iraq and is part of the joint U.S.-Iraq initiative to enhance security along Iraq's border. The work is expected to be completed by July 2007.
Versar President and CEO Ted Prociv said: "I am pleased with the expanded role Versar was selected for by this important infrastructure assignment. This occurred because of the outstanding work by Versar's team in Iraq and the Philippines in an extreme and harsh environment. This award is the first of many more infrastructure project management assignments Versar and VIAP, its international subsidiary; expect to see in the coming months from our expanded marketing efforts in the Middle East, Asia and the Pacific Rim."
